Why Is It Called “Kelor Island”?
This is one of the most common questions from visitors.
The name “Kelor” comes from the Kelor plant (Moringa), which used to grow abundantly on this island before it became popular with tourists. Local people used to pick the leaves and cook them as vegetables.
Although the plants are hard to find today, the island still keeps its original name — Pulau Kelor.
How to Get There
Travel time depends on the type of boat. That’s why Kelor Island is perfect for one day trips, full day trips, and even sunset trips:
