Essential Items to Bring:
To ensure a comfortable and safe journey, please pack the following items:
- Sufficient cash and an ATM card.
- Proper walking shoes, trousers, and weather-appropriate clothing (jackets, sweaters, raincoats).
- Sun protection: sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen.
- Insect repellent, malaria prevention pills.
- Beach gear: swimwear, snorkel gear, towel.
- Portable flashlight, extra batteries, and a charger.
- A camera, memory cards, and spare batteries.
- Travel documents: passport, visa, flight tickets.
- First-aid kit, personal medications, and any other items you may need.
Tour Facilities:
Our tours are designed for adventure, which means the facilities may be basic but are always clean and functional. You can expect standard accommodations, simple restaurants, and boat services. However, if you’re staying in Labuan Bajo, the main tourist hub of the island, you’ll find more developed facilities ranging from budget to luxury, depending on your preferences.
Travel Insurance:
For your peace of mind, we highly recommend securing travel insurance through a reputable company in your home country, as it is not included in our tour packages. This ensures you’re covered for any unforeseen circumstances during your trip.
Indonesian Domestic Flights:
Domestic flights within Indonesia can sometimes experience delays or cancellations. To avoid any issues, we strongly recommend reconfirming your flight schedule with your airline at least 48 hours before departure.
Limitation of Liability:
While we are dedicated to providing excellent service, please note that we, as your local tour organizer, are not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, damaged, or delayed, nor are we liable for accidents, flight irregularities, natural disasters (e.g., storms, landslides), or other force majeure events that may impact your trip. We’ll do everything possible to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience, but certain circumstances are beyond our control.
Banking & Currency Exchange:
Banks and money changers are available in our region, but the exchange rates may not be favorable. For a better rate, we recommend exchanging currency before arriving in Flores. If you need to withdraw cash, ATMs are available in most towns on Flores. Please note that most businesses in the area operate on a cash-only basis, with very few accepting credit cards.
